The
practice of architecture has changed dramatically in the last decade:
the internet has made obsolete our piles of product samples, aisles of
reference
literature, and racks of zoning codes. Where we
once kept thousands of pounds of rolled drawings on hand for reference
and legal purposes, they are now stored digitally on a hard drive the
size of a shoebox. Massive drafting tables have been replaced with a
monitor
and mouse.

This evolution of the profession has given
us an opportunity to design
a new office that embraces the modern functions of the architect, while
at the same time exploring our interest in spatial openness and
structural expression.
